Since opening our doors in 2015, Movement Arts has brought dancers, artists and audiences together through performances across San Luis Obispo County.

From intimate studio showcases at Art After Dark and community events in the Mission Plaza to original contemporary works and full-scale productions on the region’s main stages at Cal Poly and Cuesta College, performance is an essential part of the Movement Arts experience.

Our performances showcase dancers at different stages in their artistic development. Many of our larger productions feature members of our audition-based Dance Company, while other performances bring together dancers from across our Conservatory programs. Throughout the year, our dancers also take their work beyond the traditional stage through festivals, community events, outdoor performances and collaborations with other local arts organizations.

Together, these experiences give young dancers the opportunity to grow as performers and artists while sharing the joy and power of dance with our community.
